A few quiet days this week….
We had a relatively calm four-day break this week from Hezbollah firing missiles and suicide drones into northern Israel.
Why?
The Muslim festival of Eid al-Adha. It is the holiest festival in the Muslim calendar and it culminates in the Hajj (Pilgrimage) to Mecca and the circling of the Kaaba (Cube) seven times. (see photo above)
They call it the “Feast of the Sacrifice.”
And what sacrifice are they commemorating? According to aboutIslam.net
Ibrahim prepared to sacrifice his beloved son. At this point Satan tempted Ibrahim trying to make him disobey God, but Ibrahim resisted and drove the Satan away.
Ibrahim looked down at his son for what he believed was the last time but as the blade came close to Ishmael’s neck God stayed his hand and revealed that there was no need for Ibrahim to continue. His sacrifice had already been fulfilled…
God replaced Ishmael with a sheep and it is for this reason that Muslims sacrifice an animal on the celebration of Eid al Adha;
But wasn’t it Isaac and not Ishmael?
When describing the episode, the Torah relates in Genesis 22:
Some time afterward, God put Abraham to the test, saying to him, “Abraham.” He answered, “Here I am.”
“Take your son, your favored one, Isaac, whom you love, (as opposed to Yishmael) and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains that I will point out to you.”
(the Mountain in the Land of Moriah which was pointed out is Mount Moriah… the binding of Isaac took place where the Temples would ultimately stand where all the burnt offerings in the future would be offered.)

So early next morning, Abraham saddled his ass and took with him two of his servants and his son Isaac. He split the wood for the burnt offering, and he set out for the place of which God had told him.
In the end, God tells Avraham not to slaughter Yitzchak but to offer a ram instead.
And Abraham picked up the knife to slay his son.
Then a messenger of God called to him from heaven: “Abraham! Abraham!” And he answered, “Here I am.”
“Do not raise your hand against the boy, or do anything to him. For now I know that you fear God, since you have not withheld your son, your favored one, from Me.”
When Abraham looked up, his eye fell upon a ram, caught in the thicket by its horns. So Abraham went and took the ram and offered it up as a burnt offering in place of his son.
Why would the Muslim Arabs change the story?
When the Muslim hordes came to invade and yes colonize Israel from Saudi Arabia in 638 CE, they asked the Byzantine Christians to show them were the Temple stood.
They knew that the rock where the Holy of Holies stood (of the destroyed Second Temple) was also the traditional place where Abraham bound Isaac.
The Muslims wanted to show their supremacy over Christianity AND Judaism.
They declared that the rock was where Mohammad ascended to heaven at the “far away place” (Al Aksa) and forced the Byzantines to build a dome for them like the one at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre.
They also forced the Byzantines to put inscriptions inside the dome saying “Jesus is NOT the son of God”.
This dome is a Shrine, not a mosque, built on the site of the Jewish Temple to ensure the Third Temple wouldn’t be built.
Then they built the “Al Aksa” Mosque at the southern end of the Temple Mount and they pray south toward the Kaaba in Mecca (with their behinds facing the Holy of Holies) where they say the “Binding of Ishmael” took place.
Rewriting History
Our Arab/Muslim cousins claim to be the descendants of Ishmael, Isaac’s rejected older half brother.
They want to take back the Land of Israel that was promised to Abraham, ISAAC, and Jacob.
They are willing to rewrite the Torah to justify it.
They are willing to rewrite history and claim there existed a “Palestinian Nation” on the Land of Israel where none ever existed.
They are willing to cry “Genocide” where there is none.
They are willing to say Israeli women were not raped on October 7 in the face of go-pro videos filmed by the Gazans themselves.
The sad part is that they have convinced so many people in the world to believe in their claims.
The Truth Will Prevail
Already, the UN has had to admit that there were atrocities committed against Israel women on October 7 and against female hostages held by the Gazans.
The UN has also backtracked and said their earlier claims of famine in Gaza were wrong.
May the Almighty bless us with the patience and strength to continue in our “Just War” until the enemies of Israel are defeated and the Truth is clear to all.
