The visit is over and a collective sigh of relief could be heard in much of Israel.

Some journalists did their best to try and spin this an important Presidential visit.

Many, including Israelis, Saudis and Palestinians couldn’t wait for it to end.

From the Israeli side, the President pandered unnecessarily to the Palestinian Authority. He insulted Israel by making a “personal’ visit to the Augusta Victoria hospital on the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem unaccompanied by Israeli officials and deliberately removed the Israeli flag from his limousine while still in the Nation’s capital!

The inference being made by Biden is that East Jerusalem does not belong to Israel. In his ‘personal’ visit he ‘officially’ pledged $100M of US taxpayer money to the hospital network for Palestinian health care.

He also made an outrageous and insulting comparison between the Palestinian/ Israeli conflict to the 400 year Irish Catholic/British conflict!

In Bethlehem, Biden reaffirmed his commitment to a Two-State solution where the Palestinians would establish their State in Bibilcal Judea and Samaria apparently with East Jerusalem as their capital (although he said the time was not  yet ripe)

This is the biggest insult of all. Especially when he made the promise from King David’s birthplace. The territory that President Biden promised to the PLO includes not only Bethlehem, but:

  • Hebron – The burial place of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and King David’s first capital of the Kingdom of Israel before Jerusalem.
  • Shiloh – The location of the Tabernacle before the Temple was established in Jerusalem Joshua 18 1
  • Shechem – Joseph’s burial place
  • Elon Moreh – from the time of Avraham
    Genesis 12 6
  • Shomron – capital of the Northern Kingdom of Israel 1 Kings 16 23-24:
  • Modiin – the hometown of the Hasmoneans from where the Maccabees led their successful rebellion against the Syrian Greeks in the Chanukah story (see below).

and many more places where the Nation of Israel lived for thousands of years before Muhammad was born.

Who was really behind all these decisions? Was it Biden himself? or was it his ‘handlers’ in the White House and the State Department making these decisions? Or was it outside interests to whom Biden and his family are beholden?

There is a saying in Proverbs 21:1

פַּלְגֵי־מַיִם לֶב־מֶלֶךְ בְּיַד־ה’ עַל־כׇּל־אֲשֶׁר יַחְפֹּץ יַטֶּנּוּ׃

Like channeled water is the mind of the king in the LORD’s hand; He directs it to whatever He wishes.

The Sages say (Malbim and others) that each individual has free will. However Kings of the Nations, when they assume their positions, lose their free will when it comes to affairs of State.

The Almighty uses the Nations of the World (and their Kings/Presidents/Prime Ministers) to make decisions that will move history along the path that God has in Mind (not theirs).

We don’t know how the rest of the Nation of Israel will return to the Land of Israel, nor how the enemies of Israel will be defeated, nor how we will be able to rebuild the Temple on its original site when the Islamic Dome of the Rock is sitting there. What we do know is that it is God’s Will for these things to happen. And God is manipulating the nations of the world to bring history to its promised conclusion.

There are some of you who look at the situation and may think that I’m not living in reality. The political machinations are being made by Biden, Abba, Bin Salman, Khameini, Putin … or those who are behind the scenes. God sets up the world this way in order to give us the free will to see His Hands in History, or only see human hands pulling the strings. It’s your choice.

By the way, BIDEN  is spelled in Hebrew בידן – B’Yadan which means “In their hands.”

On the surface it appears that Biden is being manipulated… he’s in ‘their’ hands.

Rest assured, our future is in Good Hands.

  1. And Israel’s future is in God’s hands. Men make the plans, often for good… and often for demise. But God determines the steps… and often chuckles.
Thank you for your words of wisdom!
